Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Now in Dinwiddie County!
QuickStart Children of Virginia (QCV) is thrilled to report Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library (DPIL) is now available to all 1,436 kids under age five in Dinwiddie County. Read To Them, a Richmond literacy nonprofit, stepped up to become the local DPIL sponsor.
The startup funding was generously provided by Dinwiddie Moose Lodge #1993 with a partial match by QuickStart Tennis of Central Virginia. Kimberly Fehrs, Imagination Library Coordinator for Read To Them, has organized the Local Advisory Group for Dinwiddie with an assist from Penny Brooks, Program Administrator: Early Learning & Literacy for Dinwiddie County Public Schools.
For more information about Imagination Library in Dinwiddie, to get involved in the FUN of promoting the program or to donate (only $15.60 pays for 12 books for one child for an entire year), contact Kimberly at Kimberly.fehrs@readtothem.org.
